4 This poem, written on the margin of " Lebor Breac," is quoted by Dr. Whitley Stokes, " Calendar of CEngus," clxxxv. Alliteration is observed in the Latin lines. In the first verse it seems obtained by the reading " ad-iuva," and in the fifth " amorem " alliterates with " uis " [vis]. |
